William GayChief Executive Officer
Mr. Gay has been the CEO of Tunnel Hill Partners since shortly after its founding in 2008. Prior to assuming his current role, he held various positions in the waste business. He was previously the co-founder of a leading waste-by-rail logistics consulting firm, and he owned and operated the largest waste-by-rail transfer station and recycling company in New Jersey (Bridgewater Resources, Inc.). He is also the former CFO of Recology (formerly Norcal Waste Systems), based in California. Prior to working in the waste business, Mr. Gay was a Vice President with Chase Bank and The Bank of New York.
William F. Rinaldi joined Tunnel Hill Partners in 2013 with its merger of Hazleton Creek Properties (HCP). Mr. Rinaldi co-founded HCP in 2004 to provide a greater and better use for formerly abandoned coal lands once used for surface strip and deep mining activities. Upon the founding of Hazleton Creek Properties, Mr. Rinaldi served as CEO and oversaw its growth from start-up. He has over twenty years of experience with brownfield and economic redevelopment.
Martin SternbergVice President
Mr. Sternberg joined Tunnel Hill Partners in 2012 as the result of its merger with Coastal Distribution. Mr. Sternberg co-founded Coastal in 2001, seeing an opportunity in regional waste landscape to provide waste-by-rail service, an under-utilized operation on Long Island. Previously, he was a Principal with Compaction Systems Corporation. In 1997, Mr. Sternberg sold Compaction Systems and the first and largest transload facility in New York City to Waste Management.
Kevin McEneryChief Financial Officer
Mr. McEnery joined Tunnel Hill Partners as CFO in the beginning of 2014. He has more than 30 years of public and private company CFO experience, in a variety of industries, and has led three successful restructurings. That experience includes his role as the former CFO of Scholastic Corp., the $2 billion publishing company. Mr. McEnery is a CPA and a former audit manager with Arthur Andersen.
Mike KozakSenior VP Sales and Marketing
Mr. Kozak joined Tunnel Hill Partners in September of 2015. Prior to that he held a series of Executive level Sales and Business Development roles within the Hazardous and Industrial Waste Management, Remediation, Brownfield Redevelopment and Environmental Services industries. Most recently, he was the Vice President of Sales and Business Development at Soil Safe, Inc., a Private Equity backed company and the largest processor of contaminated soils in the United States.
